What Did You Miss?

The annual meeting provided little in the way of major changes for the 2001 operating year. Below is an account of what took place. Actual meeting minutes were taken by club Secretary, Bucky Grafton.

A moment of silence was observed in memory of Bud and Sam who passed away recently. They are sadly missed by all.

President Mike Duffalo welcomed everyone to the meeting and gave a brief overview of the last year's events.

Secretary Bucky Grafton reviewed the minutes from the 2000 annual meeting.

Treasurer Bob Grafton provided the group with a rundown of the 2000 checking account transactions. Once again, Bob did a tremendous job by putting the information into graphs and charts for easy reading. If you see Bob along the stream, be sure to thank him for his effort. We're lucky to have him!

Nursery Manager Art Grguric gave a report on the wetlands projects that are in progress or on tap for 2001. Detailed information on all of the club's projects can be found on the projects page.

President Mike Duffalo discussed the upcoming trout season and the need for help with stocking and also Kid's Day.

A motion was made to retain the current officers for the 2001 operating year. Thanks again gentleman for your dedicated service! You are the life line of the organization.

A motion was made to add an additional "lifetime" membership category for seniors at a cost of $50. The motion was unanimously approved.

The group discussed the invasion of the railroad and the impacts it may have on the stream. After some discussion, Art Grguric was given the blessing of the group to oppose the railroad publicly on behalf of the organization. Additionally, the group decided to write a letter opposing the railroad so that the group would be on record as opposing.
